Eight day sailing course with Nancy, Juan and Miguel

Eight day sailing course with Nancy, Juan and Miguel

Juan, Miguel and Nancy

Nancy the sign painter form Colorado, Juan the retired corporate lawyer form Mexico City and his son Miguel the marketing representative from Pfizer are having one of the best 8 day sailing courses I have every taught. We have just completed day 5 and it looks like we will have three more days of wind for a full monty 8 straight windy days. The fishing has been pretty good all week so far. We have caught and released several skip jack and have kept two nice Sierra Mackerels to eat and today in about 40 feet of water just a few hundred yards off the beach at la posada we caught and released a baby sailfish!!!!

We found our local population of dolphins on our third day out so we sailed with them for a while as reflects the pictures below. Tomorrow we set off on our Trimaran Windsplitter for our three day live aboard.

Fantastic week of sailing so far, in Spanish we would say Super Chingon,  how I love October in the San Carlos!!!!!

Pechocho the Solitary Dolphin of Topolobampo

Pechocho the Solitary Dolphin of Topolobampo

Here in Topolobampo there lives in a secluded estuary at the base of the light house just around the point from punta copas a solitary dolphin. He has been named Pechocho by the locals. Short for preciosos. He has lived here all his approximately 20 years. He is a amazing animal and I have never had an experience like it in my life. The video will be interesting to say the least. Here are a few pics of this amazing creature.
